Digitization of the material management of one of the largest scout organizations in Switzerland

Yesterday we had the opportunity to have the mat experts from the CEVI Region Winterthur-Schaffhausen explain the materials warehouse in Wiesendangen to us on site. As one of the largest departmental material stores at CEVI, it has been highly digitized for years. The young people order their materials via apps, which are made available for collection by the mat leaders. Everything is recorded digitally.
They are now looking for ways to optimize their positive experience with digitalization and extend it to the whole of Switzerland. They see room for improvement in various areas, such as simplifying the ordering and booking process, planning material availability and the visibility of material at other locations for excursions, storage and courses. But also to improve the maintenance of safety-relevant materials such as ropes, avoid transport trips and intensify the use of the purchased material.
For us at Exolynk, this is an interesting challenge, as it involves the automation of many cumbersome, people-dependent processes. The mat experts are intrinsically motivated and are looking for a MASTERCLASS solution for which they are also prepared to invest resources. This makes digitalization an exciting and fun process.
