Abstract
In an age of information overload and increasing societal polarization, it has become more important than ever to provide the public with a reliable and comprehensible source of well-researched content. That’s exactly the aim of a recently launched project: a digital platform that tackles socially relevant topics in a participatory and neutral manner—from ecological issues to socio-political matters.
For a non-profit organization, we developed a web-based knowledge platform that serves as a central hub for delivering factual, clearly presented information. The goal is to provide easy access to socially relevant topics and foster participatory dialogue. A key element of this solution is the integration of a specially trained Custom GPT – an AI-powered text generation tool tailored to the platform’s content focus and trained exclusively with curated expert knowledge. It supports the editorial team in efficiently creating, editing, and structuring content.

Workshop & Concept Development
In an initial kick-off workshop, we collaboratively defined the target audiences, core content areas, as well as the structure and design of the platform. The focus was placed on intuitive user navigation, clear language, and a well-organized information architecture.
Implementation & Content
The platform was implemented to be user-friendly and fully optimized for all devices. Special attention was given to structuring the content and simplifying its maintenance – ensuring the organization can manage it independently over the long term.

The platform enables members of the organization to create, submit, and publish content such as knowledge articles, FAQs, or short updates after a review process. This creates an editorially supervised space for information, discussion, and awareness.
Custom GPT: Artificial Intelligence Meets Social Responsibility
A core distinguishing feature of the project is the specially developed Custom GPT, designed to provide targeted content support on the platform. Unlike generic language models, this AI relies solely on a high-quality, topic-specific knowledge base – carefully tailored to address socially relevant themes.
Key features of the Custom GPT:
- Thematic Knowledge Integration: The AI draws from a curated collection of scientifically grounded content, studies, and articles. These are technically integrated via embeddings, ensuring a strict separation from publicly trained models.
- Targeted Communication: Using demographically adapted prompts, the AI communicates in clear and accessible language – suited to the informational needs of a broad audience.
- Automated Content Creation: The AI helps formulate articles, FAQs, and short posts – always adhering to Swiss spelling and linguistic conventions.
This solution not only boosts editorial efficiency but also guarantees content quality – fact-based, well-structured, and easy to understand.
